if you dont want to spoil your dessert

hello there wednesday august 24, how nice it is to see you. today you bring me sunshine and in return i cement your existence in writing for future generations of avid blogsters. as i get out of bed this morning after an over enthusiastic early night i feel a little bit of excitment brewing in my cardiac muscle. today i am too busy for breakfast. i'm a woman who can spare no time for such mundane doings. my love bug and i must venture out into the horrid rumble of peak hour traffic and find our way to the tea tree gully tafe. hair and makeup is an exciting adventure, especially when (unlike a good storm) you arrive un prepared. not to worry, im pretty nifty at winging it. i may or may not have broken a law or two driving to the photo shoot location. (if there are any police officers, or just someone who enjoys a good citizen arrest reading, i think i will emphasise that i did not break any laws.) however i may have told the photographer from the eastern courier magazine the wrong location and freaked out a little once i realised and then couldn't get hold of him/her.(him, but i didn't know that at the time.) so we have arrived at the secret rendezvous. dressed and bulldog clipped the models in place. taken a few snaps. and called it a wrap.

i would like to thank the people who made this all possible.

everyone else(you)

if you are comming to the parade and don't want to spoil the surprise close your eyes now otherwise keep them open. if you kinda wanna see but kinda don't then just close one eye.

the photo issue

i read an interesting article yesterday in my fortysecond addition of frankie magazine (frankie.com.au) called decision time - when it's hard to commit to dessert, let alone a life plan. if i had to give a title to my life it would have to read. decision time - run! run and hide!

i generally struggle when it comes to choice. i am continually weighing up the pros and cons even when it's between iced coffee or hot coffee. (a regular decision at tafe these days.) it puzzles me how other people can jump right in and know what they want! making the wrong choice is my specialty and it makes me mad! i get the hot coffee and realise it's watery and i hate it and WHY DID I GET IT! libby, i say, don't let me get this one again, it's no good. In the frankie article, rowena grant-frost says she wishes she had a waitperson for life, someone who forces her to choose in every situation. well no need, just get your self an elizabeth, or a storm, or an eve or a kelly. they are people who can remember all the things you don't like and warn you just before you make your choice!

i have had to make a lot of choices lately when no one has been around to yell STOP! you don't like that! when i'm alone i pretend i'm someone else. that usually does the trick! it is best to pick someone you like, someone you know, and someone who knows what they like. i tend to go for tv characters. perhaps bones, she always knows what is best, plus she is very logical.

i went to spotlight on friday. i went in for a ball of yarn. lime green in fact. so yes, my collection now includes lime green yarn. i left spotlight with, yarn, pins, magnetic pin holder, new bobbins, two tape measures, and fat crochet hooks.

now i have to create the idea behind my photo shoot. what to do what to do!! at first i didn't want it on the beach! now i don't know, i have found some nice photos and they are on the beach! or should i have it in a studio with a stark white backdrop with perhaps a string of mistletoe hanging from the roof. i found good photos of that too. or should i find a cool fish tank with some amazing coloured fish swimming around and have it in front of that! or is there another brilliant idea floating around out there that i have not yet thought of? today i am at home with only willis for company. if we had it his way i imagine the photo shoot would either be at a turkey neck factory or a gay dog bar. no, i have to decide this one on my own. me. or maybe i'll let xena decide. she generally gets it right. especially when gabrielle is around.
