yellow is the colour of the sun

day four

there is this great site called the emotionary which has a whole bunch of new words to help explain the way one is feeling when there isn't a real word for that emotion. i've scrolled through this site a few times and often imagine my self whipping a word out in natural conversation...which of course never happens because i have enough trouble remembering real words let alone made up ones. nevertheless here is a word i found which was perfect for my day.

lonesanity

loneliness + insanity
the hopeless yearning for your pet's/inanimate objects in your house's ability to converse back with you.

isn't this the truth. i would love to sit down and have a conversation with a number of useless objects around my home. (i apologise to the objects i'm referring to... you are not useless and i should never have said that. please forgive me)

so...my do something new/fun thing today funnily enough wasn't to sit down and converse with the toaster (which would also be impossible as i don't own one and have to cook bread in the oven every morning because secretly i want a hello kitty toaster and won't toast till i find one!)

today i decided to write a children's book. i went to the bookshop to suss out the competition and found a brilliant book! if you own any children you should get them this book! it is called ... the day the crayons quit. by drew daywalt. genius! the crayons each write a letter to their owner (his name is duncan) about how they are feeling. i knew i felt bad for the crayons that didn't get used as much as the others for a reason!

and yes I did try to write my own book. it's very funny and I think it will be a gigantic success.
